Your role in a thriving tomorrow

Join APM Grassroots and become an active participant in improving our local biodiversity. Discover simple yet impactful ways to contribute, connect with nature, and help build a sustainable future for the North West and beyond. Every action, no matter how small, makes a difference.

Simple steps for big impact

Ready to chip in? You can start by creating homemade habitats for local wildlife using locally sourced, biodegradable materials. Get stuck into your local community support areas, or simply be more cautious about climate change. Don't forget to mark your calendar for Biodiversity Day on 22nd May annually – a fantastic way to join a wider effort.

Cultivating a healthier future

Your efforts will profoundly impact our community and nature. Together, we'll increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity and the critical threats it faces. We can transform how we live and help reconnect everyone with the natural world. Biodiversity is the cornerstone of healthy ecosystems, providing essential services and resilience against challenges like climate change and disease. A diverse environment is a strong environment.

Anyone can make a difference

Absolutely! Getting started is incredibly easy, even if you’re new to this or short on time. Many activities can be done with free and local materials, or with none at all. Engage at home, enjoy a family day out, or involve groups like brownies and scouts. This is for anyone and everyone! The very first thing we'd love you to do is share your experiences: put in picture submissions of what you’ve done in your garden, and share your local stories and ideas to improve biodiversity in your garden or local area.
